YOUR FEATURES, YOUR CHOICE

What are anti-wrinkle injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections temporarily reduce activity in selected facial muscles. This can soften the appearance of expression lines—the creases that form when you frown, squint or raise your eyebrows.

They work differently from dermal fillers, which add volume. The appropriate approach depends on what is causing your lines, your skin and the result you’re hoping for.

Changes associated with sun damage, skin texture or loss of volume may need a different approach.

Treatments, thoughtfully chosen

Understanding your treatment areas

Areas commonly assessed include forehead lines, frown lines and crow’s feet. The appropriate combination depends on your facial movement and assessment.

Forehead lines

These horizontal lines appear when you raise your eyebrows. Your practitioner assesses your forehead movement and brow position together, as treatment in this area can affect how your brows sit.

Frown lines

The vertical lines between your eyebrows are sometimes called the “11s”. Your practitioner assesses their depth and how the muscles between your brows move when you frown.

Crow’s feet

These are the lines at the outer corners of your eyes that appear when you smile or squint. Your practitioner considers the movement around your eyes alongside the depth of the lines and your skin quality.

what to expect

Your treatment, step by step

01

We listen and assess

We begin with what you’ve noticed and what you’d like to change. Your practitioner reviews your medical history, medicines and previous treatments, then assesses your face at rest and in movement.

02

We explain your options

You’ll receive a recommendation based on your assessment, including the expected outcome, limitations, possible side effects and cost. If another approach would be more appropriate—or treatment isn’t advisable—we’ll explain why.

03

Your treatment

If you’re suitable and choose to proceed, your practitioner cleans the skin and uses a fine needle to place small amounts into the agreed areas. You may feel a brief sting or discomfort at each injection site.

04

Aftercare and follow-up

We explain how to care for the treated areas and what to expect afterwards. You’ll also know how to contact us with questions and what follow-up arrangements apply to your treatment.

Care at every stage

Suitability, side effects and aftercare

Suitability depends on your health, facial assessment and expectations. Our cosmetic injectable appointments are for adults aged 18 and over. Tell your practitioner if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a condition affecting your nerves or muscles, have an infection in the proposed treatment area, or have previously reacted to a similar treatment. Bring details of any medicines and supplements you take.

What are the possible side effects?

Possible side effects include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, discomfort and headache. Eyelid or brow drooping, asymmetry and unwanted muscle weakness can also occur. Your practitioner will explain the risks relevant to your treatment.

Rarely, serious effects can occur beyond the treated area. Seek immediate emergency medical help if you develop difficulty breathing, swallowing or speaking after treatment.

Looking after your skin afterwards

We explain how to care for the treated areas and what to expect as your results develop. Your treatment includes a complimentary review two weeks later, with a free top-up if your practitioner considers it appropriate. You can also contact the clinic with any questions before your review.

Before you book

Your aesthetics questions, answered

How long do anti-wrinkle injections last?

The effects typically last around three to four months, although this varies depending on the product used, the area treated and your individual response.

How much do anti-wrinkle injections cost in Weybridge?

At Beauty of Weybridge, treatment costs £170 for one area, £210 for two areas and £250 for three areas. Your full cost will be confirmed before treatment.

Will I still look like myself?

Tell your practitioner what you would like to change and what you want to preserve. Treatment affects movement in the injected muscles, so your assessment should include a discussion of facial expression and realistic expectations. A particular appearance cannot be guaranteed.

Do anti-wrinkle injections hurt?

You may feel a brief sting or discomfort at each injection site. Sensitivity varies between people and treatment areas.

How many areas will I need?

There is no standard number. Your practitioner will consider your concerns, muscle activity and brow position before recommending suitable areas.

Can I return to work afterwards?

Many people do. However, redness, swelling or bruising may be noticeable, so allow for this when planning work or social events and follow your aftercare advice.

Can treatment remove deep lines?

Lines that remain visible when your face is at rest may soften, but they may not disappear. Your practitioner will explain whether treatment is likely to address your concern or whether another approach would be more appropriate.

What’s the difference between anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers?

Anti-wrinkle injections reduce activity in selected muscles. Dermal fillers add volume or definition. They address different concerns, and neither is automatically suitable for everyone.

Do I need to know what to book?

No. If you’re unsure which areas or treatment to ask about, book a consultation and tell us what you’ve noticed. We’ll guide you through the options.

Let’s talk about what’s right for you

At Beauty of Weybridge, we take time to understand what you’d like to change, assess your facial movement and talk through what treatment could realistically achieve.
